Job Description

This position serves as the financial analyst for an assigned group of units under the Department of Academic Finance and Administration in the Budget and Analysis group. Responsibilities include creating and distributing monthly financial reports, updating and managing unit budgets, reconciling actuals, and has a significant role in budgeting and tracking. The psoition requires meeting regularly with deans and directors to keep unit them informed of the status of available funds and on budget, and to track ongoing activity of the units compared to budget and funding. The analyst is also responsible for serving as a subject matter expert for assigned areas, ad hoc analysis for ongoing or future programs, and administrative responsibilities related to cost center management.



BA degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field and 5-7 years relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience required
MBA/CPA/MSF preferred
Strong computing skills with advanced Excel, GL software.
Experience working with financial reporting such as Profit and Loss statements or balance sheets.
Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Proven exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain and provide insight into managed finances.
Strong financial and analytical skills.
Ability to learn new systems quickly.
Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and manage multiple priorities.


Salary Levels

$67,000.00 - $73,000.00
