ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manages all Go-Team daily operations. Serves as primary Providence Police Go-Team liaison, providing on-scene crisis intervention, stabilization, triage, safety planning, and Spanish translation for victims of crime in collaboration with law enforcement to mitigate the immediate effects of trauma exposure. Rides along with police officers to crime scenes, victim homes, and hospitals. Provides medical, law enforcement and court accompaniment for victims. Provides victim follow-up and notifies victims of criminal justice events relevant to their cases over time. Supervises on-call responder team and provides case consultation. Maintains sensitivity around cultural, ethnic, racial, gender expression, and socioeconomic diversity and serves as a positive role model in this regard for victims, their families, and colleagues. Participates in community-building events. Provides training on victim sensitivity, de-escalation, and the effects of trauma and violence exposure at the Police Academy and during Sergeant’s classes and Police retreats. Co-trains with law enforcement on trauma-informed victim response. Represents FSRI on various victim service-focused committees and planning teams. Participates in professional development opportunities aligned with professional goals and position responsibilities.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree required.
Masters Degree and/or Clinical licensure preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written required.
Prior experience managing/supervising staff required.
Prior experience in crisis intervention and emergency triage required.
Must have demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and work collaboratively within teams.
Public speaking skills desired.
Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position co-locates at Providence Police Department headquarters located within the Providence Public Safety Complex. Employees in this position must have the ability to travel to and from FSRI sites, the Providence Police Department, and various community locations, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
