ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Compliance & Program Coordinator position requires an individual who has the ability to perform a variety of administrative tasks and possesses strong people skills. The Compliance & Program Coordinator must be highly organized; proficient in technology; work well with people of all ethnicities & socioeconomic backgrounds; demonstrate a high level of energy; and have the ability to work well under pressure and with frequent interruptions. They must also be able to take initiative and use sound judgment.


Lead quality management activities including conducting chart audits, and supporting staff with chart compliance.
Recruit, orient, and oversee volunteers including Friends of Lucy’s Hearth.
Maintain accurate volunteer records and vet various volunteer opportunities with potential community partners.
Develop volunteer programming including: special events, days of service, and regular volunteer needs.
Conduct routine inspections of residential units to insure compliance with program policies
Work with Case Manager to develop programing as identified as needed for families to enhance housekeeping skills.
Collect monthly rent from residents on a regular basis, service as main contact with finance department regarding apartment occupancy.
Collaborate with Operations Manager in creating and administering correspondence to residents as it pertains to apartment occupancy in concordance with federal regulations (HUD).
Conduct annual Housing Quality Standard (HQS) inspections of on-site and off-site units, as required by HUD.
Take part in data quality management and data reporting through HMIS
Serve as the main administrator for the HOME program and ensure completion of all necessary documentation-in accordance with federal policy.
Provide supportive case management to permanent supportive housing residents.
Serve as a liaison for FSRI led initiatives such as PQI and COA activities and initiatives.
Assist residents, visitors and donors that come to the building.
Produce timely and high quality correspondence, reports, and other documents required by Lucy’s Hearth.
Maintain accurate and accessible records as required by our Federal and State contracts.
Oversight of data entry and aggregate data collection as required.
Work in collaboration with CES to facilitate timely intakes to the shelter program.
In collaboration with Operations Manager, ensure timely turnover of residential units.
Perform other relevant duties and shifts as requested by the Operations Manager.


Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public administration or human services related field required.
Knowledge of federal and state policies related to human services.
Excellent organizational, computer skills, and customer skills required.
Demonstrated ability to organize self and others; to work independently and to take initiative; to prioritize and to proceed logically.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to organize large meetings/functions as well as educate the general public regarding Lucy’s Hearth’s policies and services.
Ability to identify program needs to ensure beneficial community connections & collaboration.
The position requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

Travel to and from community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively.
