ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To serve as the point person for families to ensure that they are receiving EI services and supports as outlined in the Rhode Island Early Intervention Certification Standards.



SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understands, follows, and complies with Federal, State, and agency Regulations pertaining to the RI EI system as well as policy and procedures regarding health, safety, and well-being.
Establishes and maintains an effective working partnership and consistent open communication with each family, EI team member, as well as medical and community partners.
Actively includes the family and other team members to develop IFSP outcomes that are family-owned, functional, measurable, within daily routines, and integrated across developmental domains that clearly outline family supports, individualized strategies, and relevant services that work toward outcome achievement in a variety of settings.
Incorporates information and strategies from multiple disciplines to provide evidence-based interventions by coaching caregivers with strategies for implementation into daily routines, every day activities, and natural environments.
Conducts ongoing assessments to monitor each childs development and functional skills, progress toward IFSP outcomes, and to determine the effectiveness of individual program planning.
Identifies and helps families to access resources that support IFSP outcomes, transition planning, and enhances natural learning opportunities.
Initiates and facilitates a timely transition for all children exiting EI according to the RI EI Certification standards.
Uses interpersonal skills effectively in person and through telehealth platforms and contributes professional knowledge within the EI team.
Exhibits professional work habits and maintains a private setting for telehealth visits.
Shows commitment to ongoing professional growth and displays cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
Participates in community outreach initiatives, quality improvement activities, and other initiatives as required or requested by the EI management staff.
Completes all EI and FSRI required documentation and ensures that each record is maintained and updated as needed.
Participation in regular reflective supervision that will include an annual employee performance review process that outlines and periodically reviews professional progress and an individualized professional development plan.
Maintains productivity of at least 50 percent of hours worked per week. Hours worked per week do not include PTO/Holidays/Trainings
Other duties as assigned or requested by EI management staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Communication Disorders, Social Work, or related field.
Current valid drivers license and auto insurance
CPR/First Aid
Computer skills preferred
CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

As needed to meet RI EI Certification Standards.
Completion of Introduction to Early Intervention course.
Maintain CPR/First Aid
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 20lbs.
Required to provide own transportation.
