ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Department Director works in conjunction with the Chief of Operations on the overall operational management of significant portions of the Home Division. Assists in the implementation, management, and supervision of several complex programs. The Department Director takes senior-level leadership over several significant FSRI initiatives. Programming which reports to the Department Director generally includes: Children's Residential, Foster Care, Basic Center, and Enhanced Case Management programming. The Department Director is a member of FSRI's Leadership Team, and takes an active role in FSRI initiatives, both within and external to the Home Division. The Department Director has significant responsibility for ensuring quality of care, regulatory compliance, and overall excellent functioning of programs within the Home Division.


QUALIFICATIONS:

The Department Director has significant independent responsibility at a high-level and must have a significant committment to FSRI's mission.
A good candidate must be able to think and act creatively and independently.
The Department Director must have significant child-welfare related experience.
The Department Director may have an independent clinical license, although it is not required for the right candidate.
The Department Director will have an opportunity to learn and grow in their role, but must demonstrate a willingness and an ability to take a leadership role in the organization.
Additionally, the Department Director must have significant understanding regarding the impacts and appropriate treatments for childhood trauma.
Finally, the Department Director must have an ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all formats.
