Job Description

Direct Support Professionals provide valuable, supportive care in a quality-based, motivating environment for people with intellectual, emotional and developmental disabilities in their community and homes. An essential element of this job is to convey steady encouragement to ensure the growth of skills needed for daily living; this includes establishing high-quality relationships. DSP's promote healthy living, healthcare management, and natural supports. Staff develop skills and abilities to remain calm during demanding situations, while ensuring the maintenance of a healthy and safe home environment. A perfect position for students seeking flexible hours and gaining hands on experience in all facets of the human service industry. Weekend hours required for all position.

Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent; valid driver's license with a good driving record; Clean criminal background check; and reliable transportation to work.
Must be able to: lift 25 to 50lbs; bend/squat, or kneel without limitation.
What we offer you:

$15.75 to $16.75 hourly
Weekend Pay Differential - Additional $1.00 an hour
Friday evening 6pm to 10pm
Saturday & Sunday 1st & 2nd Shift - 8 am to 10pm

Locations in Cranston/Johnston/Warwick/Coventry
