ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for providing mobile crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluation, and short-term follow-up treatment for children and youth statewide.


Provide mobile crisis intervention, evaluation and ongoing services with and on behalf of, patient/family referred to FSRI Children's Mobile Crisis team.
Conduct trauma-informed biopsychosocial assessments to be completed with the child and family and includes assessment of imminent risk, trauma history, physical and mental health history for child and family, history of services and therapeutic interventions, onset and severity of symptoms, and circumstances leading up to crisis.
collaborates with children and families to create, maintain, and aid families in following a crisis plan to prevent and de-escalate future crisis situations, with the goal of preventing future crises for the child and their family.
Link and refer individuals/families to appropriate culturally relevant resources and informal supports within their community when that is appropriate and sufficient to meet their need(s).
Provides follow up clinical treatment for 30-60 days after evaluation focused on stabilization of the child’s mental health, skill building, ensuring environmental safety, and provide prevention strategies and resources to cope with presenting behavioral and emotional needs and avoid future crisis reactions.
Participates in a schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage of emergency response.
Carries the Emergency Response phone on a rotating basis.
Completes all appropriate paperwork and documentation as required.
Attends regular staff meetings and MDT meetings.
Maintains appropriate standards of confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA and agency guidelines.
Works as a member of the Crisis Response Team and collaborates with CCBHC staff and treatment providers.


Masters degree in social work, counseling, mental health or related field; Independent license required, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT.
Excellent crisis management and intervention skills needed.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and part of a team.
Must be able to travel and provide community-based services.


Ability to travel to office and community locations; This position will require a combination of clinic- and community-based work, with approximately 40-60% of time spent in the community (requiring local travel) to meet clients.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to utilize a computer and Electronic Medical Record to complete documentation.
Possession of valid driver's license, reliable transportation, registration and proof of current automobile insurance is required.
