Provides clinical Family Coaching and Visitation Center services, including TST informed clinical assessment and supports, to enrolled children and families who are actively working to repair relationships, address safety concerns, and successfully reunify. Working in a high-quality team consisting of independently licensed, experienced Clinical Program Director, clinicians, case managers, and transportation aides. Completes initial clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and parents; establishes agreed upon weekly schedule and plan of visitation activities for each family in collaboration with program team members. Has weekly contacts with DCYF case workers for the purpose of coordinating the visitation process, treatment and support services, and advocacy for each participating child and family. Provide in-home treatment and aftercare reintegration support for at least six (6) months post-reunification, whenever authorized in accordance with each family's needs and DCYF service plan.


Contacts assigned families within 48 hours to schedule initial assessment that begins services.
Completes initial assessment, including appropriate TST tools, the Family Advocacy and Support Tool (FAST), and Treatment Plan for all assigned children and families within 30 days of admission.
Working as a team with assigned case managers, reviews the treatment plan with the child/ren and family every 90 days.
Ensures that all treatment plans for assigned families are reviewed and approved by independently licensed Clinical Director.
Assists families in reaching goals of service plan through coaching as needed to ensure positive and productive visitations using clinically sound interventions, including TST informed care whenever appropriate.
Provide developmentally appropriate feedback and coaching to parents in a positive manner, helping them build the skills and systems navigation knowledge they need to coordinate supports for themselves over time.
Adheres to Medicaid and RI BHDDH requirements for service provision and record keeping.
Ensures weekly contact with DCYF staff for all assigned families.
Provides written letters, approved by supervisor, detailing client progress as requested for RI Family Court proceedings; accompanies children and families to court when appropriate.
Provide post-reunification treatment and support to families in accordance with program requirements and family needs.
Participation in completion and review of program outcome measures.
Other duties as assigned.


Applicant must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday.
Masters degree in human services related field required; MSW candidates must have LCSW (or plan to test), other field Masters must be license eligible within 2 years of hire.
Possession of a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.
Prior experience working with children and families involved in child welfare.
Experience providing supervised visitation a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills highly preferred.
Ability to use all MS Office programs, mainframe computer systems and Internet.
Ability to work independently and as an interdependent team member.
Able to work evening and weekend hours.
Ability to communicate effectively.


This position requires agency and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

Travel to and from community locations and agency sites, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
