Please be aware that due to funding from ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act), this position is eligible for a $750 Sign-On Bonus and a pro-rated Monthly Stipend up to $694.50. This is currently effective from date of hire until the end of June 2023.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for overall management of the residential facility. Supervise program staff, program budget, staff scheduling, program purchases, strategic planning, and assure the safety, nurturance, and care of the residents. Ensure compliance of all required trainings for all program staff in accordance with agency/state regulations. Monitor residential program with maintaining Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting.


SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise Program Staff, through the use of individual supervision and regular staff meetings (in coordination with Clinical Coordinator) and maintain documentation of the content.
Complete performance evaluations and professional development plans for each employee in the required timeframe.
Recommends where appropriate, the implementation of disciplinary action and Performance Improvement plans for Program employees.
Participate in the Residential recruitment process to include screening and interviewing for program vacancies.
Responsible for the Orientation and hands-on training for all new hires.
Monitor completion of incident reports in coordination with Clinical Coordinator and provides recommendations/follow-up.
Participate in program development to include but not limited to (daily groups; field trips; summer planning; monthly themed nights etc.)
Initiates completes and updates the following assessment tools: (CECI, CSDC, OHIO, CANS and others (as deemed appropriate based on treatment needs.
Prepare for and participate in Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) team meetings and consultation calls.
Monitor residential program with implementation and maintenance of Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting.
Participates as needed in the intake process, treatment team mtgs, disposition, UM’s etc.
Manage House budget, including the maintenance of all house accounts and finances, census, school lunch data and monthly billing together with required contemporaneous documentation of the status of the House accounts.
Responsible for the review and completion of bi-weekly timesheets. Ensure that timesheets are submitted in the required timeframes.
Co-Facilitate weekly staff meetings with the Clinical Coordinator.
Ensure completion of monthly staff meeting training calendar in collaboration with Management Team.
Maintain records and reporting procedures for the program
Build and maintain positive, working relationships with community organizations and providers
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Program by regularly reviewing the status of the facility, its equipment, appliances and vehicles.
In coordination with the Program Director, arrange for the repair of the facility, its equipment, appliances, and vehicles.
Responsible for distribution of any necessary medications in accordance with FSRI medication management policies and procedures.
In conjunction with Management Team rotate on-call responsibilities.
Provide coverage/emergency support to other residential programs as required.
Transports clients as needed
Ensure compliance with all state and Agency regulations regarding residential facilities, health, safety, mental health, and education
Ensure that the program adheres to all contractual requirements
Participates in Agency committees as required
In the absence of other members of the management team within the Program, performs or delegates the duties assigned to the absent member. Ensures that all duties are completed in a timely manner.
Performs additional responsibilities consistent with Agency needs, defined in consultation with supervisor(s)
Able to perform and participate in restraint of clients as required
Timely completion of mandatory training

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in human services required.
Minimum of two (2) year supervisory experience.
Willingness and capability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as scheduled and on-call responsibilities.
Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues.
Capabilities to implement appropriate child management techniques, which may include use of passive physical restraint.
Excellent communication skills.
Requires current driver’s license, reliable transportation with a minimum of 3 seats in addition to the driver’s seat and proof of automobile insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

Travel to and from community locations and residential site locations, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to push or pull 10 lbs or more
Ability to pick up 10 lbs or more
Ability to perform restraint techniques if needed and deal with physically aggressive people
