Job Description

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full-time Parents as Teachers Educator for our Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program located at 19 Broadway in Newport, RI. Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a national, evidence-based family visiting program that provides free and voluntary support to families. It builds strong communities, thriving families, and children who are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. The program accomplishes this by matching parents and caregivers with trained professionals who make regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through kindergarten.

The PAT Educator will report to the Lead Home Visitor and assist the Lead in training new staff to adhere to the PAT Performance Standards, agency goals, as well as personnel policies. The successful candidate will provide assessment, intake, home visiting, goal setting, and planning according to the benchmark goals established by the Rhode Island Department of Health. The successful candidate will coordinate services with other EBCAP home visiting, health, and teen-focused groups to maximize services and eliminate duplication. Provide back-up and/or attendance in the supervisor’s absence with various state advisory group meetings, assigning tasks, and ensuring appropriate screening tools are completed and recorded in a compliant manner.

For Full-Time Employees Working 30 – 40 hours per week, EBCAP provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes heavily subsidized medical and dental insurance plans (BCBSRI), supplemental vision insurance, voluntary medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts, up to 3% company matching 403(b) retirement plan, employer-paid life insurance & long term disability, generous paid time off that includes vacation/holidays/personal days/sick time, mileage reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, opportunities for center-paid training/CEUs, employee assistance program, and more!

Thank you for your interest in employment opportunities at East Bay Community Action Program.
