Job Description

Due to funding from ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act), this position is eligible for a $750 Sign-On Bonus and a pro-rated Monthly Stipend up to $694.50. This is currently effective from date of hire until the end of June 2023.

Position Summary: As part of the Trauma System Therapy-Community Health Team (TST-CHT), the Peer Support Specialist will work collaboratively with FSRIs team members, Community Health Workers and Behavioral Health Clinicians. The Peer Support Specialist will assist with a patients needs and well-being through individual goal setting, advocacy, mentorship, education, and addressing/ameliorating social determinant of health barriers. The Peer Support Specialist may have lived experience which may come from individual or family experiences/interactions with a variety of systems.



Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse client population.
Knowledge of computers and medical records required.
Possession of a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and auto insurance is also required.
Complete necessary immunizations needed to work in a health care setting.
