Job Description

FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community we serve in!


Position Summary: The intern will support the team on a variety of community engagement projects in the South Providence area. This includes the planning and execution of community-based events. The Community Engagement and Planning Intern reports to the Director of Equity and Place Based Initiatives. This is an unpaid internship opportunity for hours towards credit-awarding programs, or for personal learning experience. Duration and hours are flexible based on the needs of the student and project.


Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years post-secondary education in an accredited degree awarding program
Ability to work with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Team player and creative thinker
Highly organized and detail-ORIENTED
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

Hybrid schedule, with attendance at in-person community events required
Travel to and from community locations and office sites, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
