Job Description

Position Summary: Directs the day to day training development and implementation activities of the Center for Trauma-Informed Policing (TIP), a Substance and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) funded Category II Treatment and Services (TSA) Adaptation Center. This includes developing content, project managing the learning management system contractor, managing local, regional and national training logistics, and facilitating virtual and in-person training of Law Enforcement and social service agencies on child trauma and co-response. The TIP Center serves as an ongoing resource for law enforcement across the nation interested in becoming trauma-informed, implementing FSRI’s Go TeamTM co-responder best practice model, and partnering with community-based organizations to mitigate the effects of childhood trauma exposure and reduce the risk of revictimization. Directs high profile victim service training and public service events.



Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice human services or related field required and two to five years related project management experience required.
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
This position requires periodic travel regionally and nationally up to 25% time.
Possession of a valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and reliable transportation required.
Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.


Physical Requirements: This position requires agency and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

Travel to and from community locations and agency sites, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
